Job summary

Food Lion in Seneca, SC is seeking a Deli HMS Department Manager to support store operations and drive sales. You will oversee the Deli Bakery HMS team, manage labor, coach associates, and ensure outstanding customer service while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with the store leadership to meet budgeted goals, apply company policies, and maintain department appearance, inventory accuracy, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar, or commit to accreditation within 90 days.

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure extraordinary customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety and sanitation are maintained.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
