Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through Silvus Technologies, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps. The role bridges RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, supporting field tests, demonstrations, and BD initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field, or 5+ years in defense tech if HS diploma.
• Exposure to Software‑Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing or tactical communications systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• All employment contingent upon background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field tests.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with BD to support technical needs.
• Build and present demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Capture field feedback for product roadmap inputs.
• Travel 25‑50% and support field trials.
