Job summary

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will support engineering and BD teams, demonstrate interoperability, and drive field-ready solutions across airborne and tactical networks.

The role requires up to 50% travel, with a 100% remote option depending on location, and reports to the Director of Applications Engineering. Candidates must hold SECRET clearance or obtain it within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2–5 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 5+ years in defense tech.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. citizenship required; background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configurations, and conduct field trials and evaluations.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for airborne and base networking.
• Support RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
