Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will work with the Applications Engineering team to demonstrate interoperability of the StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne, base, and expeditionary environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience; OR HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing protocols, and tactical communications.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment and lab measurement tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan configurations and conduct field trials, modernizations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and roadmaps.
• Build and present demonstrations for airborne and edge networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with AF program offices and labs to align efforts.
• Gather field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs.
• Travel to customer sites and labs as required.
