Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks innovative technical graduates to join the Multi-Domain System Concepts Group. You will conduct simulations and analyses of defense systems, identify gaps, and develop new concepts to improve capabilities using math, engineering, and physics.

You will model and analyze sensors, C2, and defensive systems, perform parametric analyses, possibly develop prototypes, and communicate results to leadership and sponsors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Mathematics, or similar degrees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance with potential Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess U.S. Defense systems.
  • Model, analyze, and assess fielded systems; identify improvement opportunities and develop concepts/algorithms.
  • Communicate technical recommendations to APL leadership and sponsors.
  • Collaborate in teams to deliver high-quality products.
