Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks talented technical graduates to join the Multi-Domain System Concepts Group. You will simulate real-world systems, analyze sensors and communications, and develop new concepts to improve defensive capabilities for the U.S.

You will model, analyze, and assess fielded systems, develop algorithms and prototypes, and present technical recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Mathematics, or similar degrees.
  • Skilled in programming and analysis, as well as math and physics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain Interim Secret security clearance by start date and ultimately Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development and assessment of U.S. Defense systems.
  • Model, analyze, and assess fielded systems; develop innovative concepts/algorithms.
  • Conduct parametric analyses using high performance computing capabilities.
  • Develop presentations communicating technical recommendations to leadership.
