Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks innovative graduates to join the Multi-Domain System Concepts Group. You will simulate, analyze, and improve U.S. defense systems, applying math, engineering, and physics to models and real-world platforms.

Expect a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on national security challenges. Responsibilities include developing concepts, communicating findings to leadership, and advancing prototype capabilities to fielded solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Aeronautical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Strong programming/analytical skills and knowledge of math/physics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Eligibility for Interim Secret (ultimately Top Secret) clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to development and assessment of U.S. Defense systems.
  • Model, analyze, and assess fielded systems; propose improvements and new concepts.
  • Conduct parametric analyses using high-performance computing; prototype capabilities.
  • Prepare presentations for APL leadership, sponsors, and engineers.
