Job summary

Emler Swim School in Spring, TX is seeking a Deck Manager to lead on deck and in the pool, supervising staff and ensuring smooth class operations. You will train hourly staff, mentor swim teachers, and help deliver safe, high-quality lessons.

You’ll focus on coaching instructors, supporting families, and building a welcoming school culture, with evenings and weekend shifts. Training to become a certified swim pro is provided.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a passion for working with children.
• Positive energy, strong communication, and a natural leadership style.
• Love helping others grow—whether a nervous toddler in the water or a new teammate.
• Available to work a consistent schedule, including weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.
• Physically active and ready to be on your feet, in the water, and moving with purpose.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on deck and in the pool.
• Coach instructors and serve as a lead instructor.
• Celebrate student wins and observe progress in the pool with students of all ages.
• Support families and help ensure each customer feels confident and cared for.
• Stay organized with scheduling, performance evaluations, and enrollment goals.
• Upload safety standards and model a safety-first mindset for staff and students.
