Job summary

Chamberlain University, Irving Campus, seeks a Dean of Academic Affairs (Nursing) to provide strategic academic leadership across Daytime and Evening/Weekend BSN programs. You will shape curricula, ensure quality, and drive student success through data‑driven decisions and a culture of care.

You will oversee a high‑performing nursing faculty and support team, align operations with accreditation standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance program excellence and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required; doctoral degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years of full‑time experience in nursing education, including at least three years in an academic leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and advise faculty and students.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, conflict‑resolution, and computer proficiency skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current RN licensure and/or multi‑state compact privilege to practice nursing in Texas.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Execute the BSN academic strategy for the Irving Campus, with direct accountability for student outcomes including NCLEX pass rates and graduation.
• Provide academic leadership across Daytime and Evening/Weekend programs, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure curricula meet institutional standards and accreditation requirements through continuous evaluation and improvement.
• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing academic team aligned to student success.
• Oversee faculty hiring, onboarding, development, scheduling, and performance management.
• Embed Chamberlain Care® principles into academic operations and student support.
• Manage academic operations in partnership with national support teams and budgets.
• Lead program growth, innovation, and curricular change with agility.
