Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to manage day-to-day operations, supervise faculty, and advance BSN program goals. You will partner with the Dean on strategy, ensure teaching standards, and use data-informed decisions to improve student outcomes.

You will recruit and lead faculty, oversee curriculum delivery, and collaborate on budgets and accreditation readiness, while embedding Chamberlain Care principles across operations and campus teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in nursing required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required.
• 2+ years nursing education experience at bachelor level or above.
• 2+ years in simulation or clinical experience development/participation.
• 2+ years leadership experience.
• 2+ years in acute patient care (trauma, emergency, or medical-surgical) preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
• Proven ability in recruiting, onboarding, and faculty development.
• Budget planning, resource management, and change leadership experience.
• Strategic thinking and ability to interpret policy.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Implements academic strategy under Dean's direction and manages faculty schedules, workload and performance.
• Recruit, onboard and retain qualified faculty for program excellence.
• Lead performance management for visiting and/or full-time faculty with ongoing evaluation and feedback.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership on budgets and resource allocation.
• Ensure curriculum delivery meets accreditation benchmarks and institutional standards.
• Support clinical placement of nursing students and academic budget requests.
• Coordinate with ED, other ADAAs and ADAAs to support student and business outcomes.
