Job summary

GPC seeks an Outbound Supervisor to oversee the distribution center's outbound operations, ensuring safe, high-quality, timely pulling, packing, and loading of freight. You will coordinate outbound shipping activities, reconcile paperwork daily, and secure facilities at night.

You will train staff, schedule hours for peak periods, and ensure compliance with safety and supplier guidelines while driving efficiency and accuracy in all outbound processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED
• Adheres to safety requirements and DC safety rules
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good judgment in following detailed instructions
• Basic computer literacy required
• Able to lift/move heavy items up to 60 lbs
• Forklift and pallet jack certification required

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound operations and instruct staff on tasks
• Train and develop team to maximize efficiency
• Schedule team hours for peak periods
• Process and ship cross-docks, stock orders and UPS shipments
• Manage outbound orders and pickup procedures
• Oversee picking, sorting, and truck loading processes
• Reconcile nightly truck loads and secure facilities
• Print BOL documents and manage outbound shipping
• Enforce company safety, security, and supplier guidelines
