Job summary

Tractor Supply Company in Pendleton, IN is offering an on-site 11-week Human Resources Summer Internship beginning May 2027. The program provides mentorship, professional development, hands-on exposure to HR and DC operations, and a 40-hour work week with relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Interns will engage in HR policies, team relations, data insights, recruiting, onboarding, training, safety, and project work to strengthen HR and leadership skills within a fast-paced distribution

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed bachelor’s or master’s in HR, business, management, or related field; rising seniors preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced DC environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to relocate to Pendleton, IN for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• HR Policies & Compliance – support communication and application of HR policies and regulations.
• Team Member Relations – partner with HR leaders to support team questions and workplace matters.
• HR Data & Insights – assist with analyzing workforce data and HR metrics.
• Recruiting & Talent Acquisition – support recruiting activities for hourly and technical positions.
• Training & Development – coordinate and facilitate training activities for DC Team Members.
• Onboarding & Orientation – support new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
• Safety Support – assist with safety initiatives and investigations.
• HR Projects & Process Improvement – contribute to HR projects to improve processes and team member experience.
