Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is offering a 2027 DC Operations Summer Internship in Hagerstown, MD. It's an onsite, 11-week program beginning in May 2027, designed to build future DC leaders through hands-on experience in inbound/outbound operations, inventory flow, safety, and teamwork.

Interns gain exposure to leadership, problem-solving, and performance analysis while working with experienced leaders. The program includes mentorship, professional development, and potential for future opportunities

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Management, or related field; rising seniors preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through prior roles, internships, or campus involvement.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willing to relocate to the Hagerstown, MD area for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across Distribution Center operations and understand product flow, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Partner with DC leaders and Team Members to support daily priorities and performance goals.
• Develop leadership skills by communicating expectations, building relationships, and supporting Team Members.
• Analyze operational challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solutions to support performance.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, productivity, and safety.
• Demonstrate adaptability and sound decision-making amid changing priorities.
• Take initiative, show accountability, and apply feedback to grow during the internship.
• Complete additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
