Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is hiring for a 11-week Distribution Center Operations Summer Internship in Pendleton, IN, beginning May 2027. This on-site program offers hands-on DC experience, mentorship, and leadership development within a fast-paced environment.

Interns gain exposure to inbound/outbound operations, inventory flow, productivity, safety, and team leadership, with a path toward future DC leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Supply Chain/Operations or related field; rising seniors preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership through prior roles, internships, or activities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Pendleton, IN for the internship duration.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience across DC operations and product flow, safety and quality.
• Partner with DC leaders and Team Members to support daily priorities and goals.
• Develop leadership through communication, relationship building, and coaching in a fast-paced setting.
• Analyze operational challenges and recommend improvements to support performance.
• Contribute to projects improving efficiency, quality, productivity and safety.
• Demonstrate adaptability and sound decision-making amid changing priorities.
• Take initiative, respond to feedback, and grow throughout the internship.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
