Job summary

Clyde’s of Georgetown in Washington, DC is seeking a General Manager to lead one of DC's busiest dining destinations. The role requires a seasoned operator with $10M+ volume experience and a proven ability to deliver elevated guest experiences across lunch, dinner, brunch, and late night.

The GM will own the annual financial plan, drive guest service standards, lead FOH managers, and partner with the Executive Chef on menu execution and cost control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as General Manager in a large high-volume restaurant (annual sales of $10M+)
• Strong financial acumen — P&L ownership, forecasting, scheduling, labor management, and cost control
• Great verbal and written communication skills; focus on guest service
• Disciplined and fair about standards of performance, yet personable in developing employees

Responsibilities

• Set the engaging hospitality tone and energy for DC's busiest dining destination
• Set and maintain guest service standards
• Lead a FOH operation across lunch, dinner, brunch, and late night
• Interview, hire, train, schedule, and develop FOH managers and employees
• Greet guests, process checks, and resolve customer complaints in real time
• Interact with guests to build rapport with regulars and newcomers
• Develop and manage the annual financial plan for sales, labor, costs, and income
• Complete performance reviews and set developmental goals for dining room staff
• Lead daily menu class ensuring fluency in dishes, ingredients, and beverages
• Direct employees in safety, health, and sanitation standards
• Lead monthly inventory with the culinary team
• Set service goals and drive accountability through meetings and agendas
• Partner with the Executive Chef on menu planning, cost control, and FOH/BOH execution
