Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking two daytime Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers for a mission-driven Connecticut senior care organization. You will partner with the Lead Unit Manager to oversee care delivery, documentation, orders, and unit workflows on two resident units in a structured Monday–Friday daytime role.

Ideal candidates bring CT RN licensure, 2–3 years LTC leadership, strong organizational skills, EMR experience, and excellent communication with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut required.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in SNF/LTC with supervisory/desk/unit responsibilities.
• Strong organizational multitasking skills to manage two units.
• Proficient with EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for care planning and orders.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, and residents’ families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and nursing workflows across two units.
• Review and reconcile physician orders, labs, and pharmacy profiles.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, therapy teams, families, and staff.
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning updates, and discharge prep.
• Provide coaching and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; ensure compliance.
