Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana RN License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or provide direct patient care; assist and support staff with patient/family concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital safety.
• Respond to patient emergencies as needed; act as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborate with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during the shift.
• Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and patient information for assignments.
• Support unit management in managing productivity and staffing, and timekeeping; coordinate unit activities.
• Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
