Job summary

The position requires a BSN, Montana RN license, and BLS certification, with responsibilities spanning clinical oversight, staffing coordination, and participation in hospital committees.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years or equivalent; certain grandfathering clauses apply.
• Current Montana RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained on hire.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or provide direct patient care and support staff to address patient, family, and physician concerns.
• Respond to patient emergencies and act as charge or lead for disasters as needed.
• Collaborate with staffing office to adjust staffing for census changes during the shift.
• Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, admissions, discharges, and assignment-related issues.
• Support unit management with productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
• Participate in hospital committees as needed and promote Intermountain Health values.
• Perform other duties as assigned and be prepared to float to other departments as required.
• May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
