Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for our St James Hospital in Butte, MT. This part-time, day-shift role provides leadership and clinical expertise on the shift, coordinating unit resources to balance census and acuity while modeling professionalism.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN from an accredited program, Montana RN license, and BLS certification on hire. You may be asked to float to other departments as needed and to be on-call for scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years or equivalent experience
• Current State of Montana RN license
• BLS certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in problem solving
• Responds to patient emergencies as charge or lead for disasters
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions and discharges
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission and values; adheres to service behavior standards
• May float to other departments within competency
• May be required to be placed on-call during a scheduled shift
• Performs other duties as assigned
