Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for part-time day shifts at St James Hospital, Butte, Montana. The role provides leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating staff to match census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professionalism.

The position requires a BSN within 4 years or 15 years acute care experience, MT RN license, and BLS at hire. Regular shifts, potential on-call duties, and on-site work are included.

Qualifications

• BSN degree within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification upon hire.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and coordinate staffing on shift.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff on the shift.
• Responds to patient emergencies as lead person for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes.
• Communicates with the Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions and discharges.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adheres to service standards.
• May float to other departments or be placed on-call as needed.
