Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St James Hospital in Butte, MT, is seeking a part-time RN Shift Lead I for day shifts. The role provides leadership and clinical guidance on the unit, ensures appropriate staffing for census and acuity, and supports staff with clinical practice and problem-solving.

The RN Lead will coordinate with the staffing office, participate in committees, and promote the hospital’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years or 15 years acute care experience.
• Current Montana RN license; BLS certification at hire.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care on their shift.
• Adjust staffing based on census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, admissions, discharges, and patient information.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
