Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St James Hospital is seeking a part-time RN Shift Lead I for day shifts in Butte, MT. The role provides leadership on the unit, coordinates staffing to census and acuity, and acts as clinical support and a role model for professionalism.

The position requires a BSN within 4 years (or 15 years acute care), Montana RN license, and BLS on hire. Responsibilities include directing patient care, disaster lead, and collaboration with staffing while upholding safety and service

Qualifications

BSN degree within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in resolving patient/family concerns, physician concerns, risk management, associate safety, and hospital safety.
Responds to patient emergencies, serves as charge or lead for disasters when needed.
Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during shifts.
Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and information helpful for assignments.
Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping; coordinates unit activities.
Participates in hospital committees as needed.
Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values, and service standards; adheres to policies.
May float to other departments within competency; may be on-call during shifts.
