Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for a part-time day shift at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. The role provides leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity while supporting staff and ensuring safe patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN within four years (or equivalent experience), Montana RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

BSN required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; supports staff in problem solving related to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital safety.
Responds to patient emergencies; acts as charge or lead for disasters.
Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during shift.
Communicates with oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions/discharges, and issues affecting assignments.
Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping; coordinates unit activities.
Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values, and service standards.
Other duties as assigned; may float to other departments within competency.
May be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.
