Job summary

Intermountain Health in Butte, Montana, is seeking an RN Shift Lead I to provide leadership and clinical expertise on the day shift within St James Hospital. This part-time role requires a BSN, Montana RN license, and BLS.

You will supervise staff, coordinate staffing to census, participate in safety and quality initiatives, and support unit management while maintaining patient-focused care. Scheduled weekly hours are 12, with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BSN Degree* required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; assist staff in responding to patient/family complaints and safety concerns.
• Respond to patient emergencies; act as charge or lead for disasters as needed.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust numbers of staff for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions and discharges, and critical patient information.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
