Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana seeks an experienced RN - Shift Lead I to provide leadership and clinical expertise on their shift and department. This is a part-time, day-shift role at St James Hospital in Butte, MT.

Required BSN with Montana RN license and BLS certification; duties include coordinating staffing to census, supporting staff, and participating in hospital initiatives. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides direct patient care and supports staff on the shift.
• Responds to emergencies as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing and adjusts numbers for census changes.
• Communicates census, admissions, discharges, and staffing needs to the Charge Nurse.
• Supports unit productivity, staffing, and timekeeping; coordinates unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission, values, and service standards.
• May float to other departments within competency.
• May be on-call during scheduled shifts.
