Job summary

Henderson Group in Connecticut seeks two Daytime RN Desk Nurses and Assistant Unit Managers to partner with Lead Unit Managers. You will oversee daily care delivery, clinical documentation, and order processing across two units on a Monday–Friday schedule.

The role blends clinical leadership with unit operations, requiring strong organizational skills, EMR proficiency (PointClickCare), and excellent communication with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Connecticut (active and unrestricted).
• Minimum 2–3 years in a skilled nursing facility or LTC with supervisory experience.
• Strong administrative multitasking, order reconciliation, and detail orientation.
• High proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for care planning.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and nursing workflows with the Lead Unit Manager.
• Review and reconcile physician orders, labs, reports, and pharmacy profiles.
• Serve as liaison among physicians, therapy teams, families, and nursing staff.
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning updates, and discharge prep.
• Provide coaching and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the floor.
• Maintain EMR documentation compliance with DPH regulations and QAPI.
