Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Canistota, SD provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will support residents with grooming, bathing, mobility, vital signs, and medication administration within scope of practice.

This role emphasizes compassionate care in a not-for-profit Christian environment, with a day shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, a 40-hour week, and opportunities for advancement and education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must have CMA/CNA certification per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.

Education
