Good Samaritan Canistota in Canistota, SD is seeking a dedicated Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under the supervision of a charge nurse.

The role includes administering prescribed medications as delegated, recording outcomes, participating in wellness activities, and helping with meals, grooming, and mobility for residents during a day shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm). The schedule requires every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required per state regulations.
• Must maintain state-required certifications and complete annual continuing education.
• Age-appropriate resident care and safe transfer techniques.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Support wellness programs and assist with meals and dining experiences.
