Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will administer prescribed medications, document outcomes, and communicate changes in condition while supporting safe transfers and mobility.

The role requires completing state-approved CMA/CNA requirements where applicable, with a 6:00 am - 2:30 pm schedule, 40 hours per week, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• CNA certification required by state; CMA/TMA certification may be required depending on facility.
• Active CNA registration in state of practice or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Must meet state requirements for CMA/TMA where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises; support dining experiences.
