Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD seeks a Medication Assistant to deliver resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. This role supports basic health care tasks, vital signs, dining assistance, and mobility using proper transfer techniques.

The MA will administer medications as delegated, document care outcomes, communicate changes to nursing staff, and participate in wellness activities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 18; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Must complete annual competency testing and ongoing education credits.
• Possess valid driver's license and auto insurance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance as assigned.
• Administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Support dining, grooming, mobility, and psychosocial needs.
