Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. Duties include vital signs, documentation, and coordinated care across activities of daily living.

The role includes medication administration delegation, safety checks, and ongoing communication with the charge nurse. A CNA certification as required by state boards is needed, with shifts 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and a rotating weekend

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• CNA certification as required by the state boards.
• Must be able to obtain CMA/TMA where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record outcomes, vital signs, and care notes accurately.
• Assist with range-of-motion and transfer techniques as needed.
