Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. Tasks include vital signs, hygiene, and documentation per the care plan to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

Administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, support wellness and recreational programs, and maintain a clean, safe living environment in a not-for-profit senior care setting.

Qualifications

• Caregiving and nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification or CMA/TMA credential as required by state.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license if required.

Responsibilities
