Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) to deliver resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under a charge nurse. The MA role includes medication administration within state guidelines, participation in wellness programs, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure quality care and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active CMA/TMA or state CMA certification required where applicable.
• State-specific CNA/MED Aide certifications must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated within scope.
• Document care, vitals, and changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, meals, and activities.
