Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will administer medications, document care, and support wellness and activities for residents.

This full-time Day shift role offers 40 hours per week with a 6:00 am–2:30 pm schedule and every other weekend/holiday rotation. A CMA/CNA certification and state requirements are essential, with generous benefits and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• CNA/CMA certification per state requirements and ongoing education.
• Annual continuing education credits required.
• Driver's license and auto insurance may be required depending on state.
• State CMA/CNA certification prerequisites may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication outcomes, and changes in condition.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living.

Education
