Job summary

AAA Springfield Fleet is seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor for 1st shift to manage day-to-day operations alongside the Fleet Manager and supervise drivers at our Springfield, VA location.

This role emphasizes coaching, customer service, and teamwork, with a starting base pay of 58,975 to 82,793 USD plus a monthly bonus potential, paid time off, holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in business/organizational management.
• 5+ years in automotive/dispatch or equivalent high-volume customer service or sales.
• 1+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Nationally recognized towing certification program such as IITR and related training.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Background checks including criminal, drug and MV screening.
• Ability to operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Maintain state/local licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead RA Club Fleet drivers, dispatch, and staff to meet staffing, performance, and sales goals.
• Investigate and resolve member/RAP customer concerns to AAA standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to AAA members and RAP customers.
• Monitor RA Dispatch and Training to meet day-to-day goals.
• Supervise Club Fleet Associates and manage productivity and expenses.
• Participate in interviewing, counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare performance appraisals and set team goals.
• Supervise driver activities and maintain schedules.
• Coordinate with RA Dispatch and Training for division objectives.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe; adhere to maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Handle escalated customer situations promptly.
• Investigate accidents with Fleet Manager and Risk Manager; document incidents.
• Oversee AP/AR per company policies.
• Assist with Fleet Services work plan and budgets.
• Respond to roadside service requests and provide emergency/towing as needed.
• May schedule/perform repairs and maintenance.
