Job summary

AAA Northern New England is seeking a motivated Fleet Supervisor to oversee fleet operations across an assigned territory. You will supervise drivers, coordinate maintenance with vendors, and promote safety, cost efficiency, and exceptional member service.

The role requires hands-on leadership, experience in fleet operations, vendor relations, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Workday. Starting pay ranges from $54,300 to $72,300 per year, with eligibility for an incentive program based on

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roadside assistance, fleet operations, transportation, towing, automotive service, or a related operational environment.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, corrective action, goal setting, and evaluations.
• Strong knowledge of tow vehicles, fleet equipment, vehicle maintenance practices, and fleet operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and PDF editing software.
• Experience using Workday or similar workforce management/HR systems.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, vendors, mechanics, leadership, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and readiness of fleet vehicles within the territory.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with external vendors and fleet mechanics.
• Supervise and coach drivers with training, performance management, and development.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
• Monitor key operational metrics like service levels, response times, and vehicle availability.
• Identify issues and implement actions to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality.
• Develop and manage driver schedules to minimize overtime and support safety.
• Address customer and service-related concerns involving drivers and fleet operations.
• Maintain accurate records for fleet vehicles including inspections, maintenance, and compliance.
• Ensure all vehicles remain legally operable and ready for service.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training of new drivers.
• Serve as a driver when needed to support operations.
• Partner with leadership to improve fleet reliability and member service.
