Job summary

AMroute LLC is seeking a field technician to support on-site server hardware repair and break/fix activities. You will escort dispatched engineers, manage parts, update runbooks, and coordinate with colocation teams to ensure uptime.

Qualified candidates have strong customer communication, ability to work in a dynamic onsite team, and flexibility to cover after-hours, weekends and holidays. Prior Dell FSE experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with hardware repair tasks and hands-on field service.

Responsibilities

• Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers
• Manage parts shipping, receiving, and inventory
• Maintain environmental documentation (serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.)
• Coordinate with colocation teams for power, cooling, and facility maintenance activities
• Execute customer-directed system and version updates
• Proactively monitor servers and notify customers of issues
• Open and manage service requests; triage with Dell support
• Troubleshoot, log collection, and follow vendor-recommended resolutions
• Support firmware upgrades and hardware break/fix activities
• Handle parts replacement and hardware deployment
• OS installation, GPU configuration, and testing
• System testing and validation to ensure operational readiness
• Handle random or urgent issues as they arise, serving as flexible escalation and coordination point

• Resident must be flexible in working during the weekends and holidays when customer requires.


• Strong Customer communication skills, both verbal and written


• Ability to work well within an onsite team in a dynamic environment


• Flexible schedule, including ability to support after hours and/or weekend schedules


• Resource needs to be comfortable on the HW repair side. As some of the role may be providing OSE/FSE support, they need to be experienced having their hands inside the server, replacing parts. They need to have enough experience, where they are confident in their skills to support and add new skills as needed. Prior Dell FSE experience a plus.
