Job summary

Slalom, a data-led consulting partner, seeks a Senior Principal Databricks expert to lead solution strategy and design across modern data platforms. You will align with sales, industry, and Databricks teams to create compelling proposals, while guiding architecture, governance, and event-driven AI workloads.

You will translate complex technical topics into business value for executives and delivery teams, building trusted relationships with clients and partners to drive growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting, data architecture, analytics, AI, or cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years designing and delivering modern data platforms in cloud environments.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with a strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture and production patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks solution strategy with sales, industry, and Databricks teams.
• Architect scalable Databricks platforms spanning data engineering, lakehouse, analytics, and ML.
• Provide Databricks platform expertise on Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, and related tooling.
• Translate business value into technical decisions and ROI narratives.
• Drive partner-led growth with field and market teams across regions.
• Create repeatable solutions, demos, reference architectures, and accelerators.
• Guide delivery during pursuit-to-delivery transitions and ensure secure, governed outcomes.
