Job summary

Slalom, a leading data and AI consultancy, seeks a senior Databricks-focused leader to shape strategic pursuits and architect scalable data platforms across cloud environments. You will bridge executive stakeholders with technical delivery teams, driving joint success with Databricks and Slalom market units.

You will guide complex engagements from pursuit to delivery, emphasizing ROI and modernization benefits, governance, and secure, scalable implementations across industries and regions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics, or cloud engineering.
• 5+ years designing and delivering modern data platforms in cloud environments.
• 3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes.
• Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, ML/LLMOps, model serving, governance patterns.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services and security controls.
• Ability to translate complex tech topics into business value for executives.
• Background in data modeling, data pipelines, DevOps, CI/CD, and production ops.
• Strong track record of growing client relationships and collaborating with partner teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks solution strategy with sales, industry, and Databricks teams.
• Architect scalable Databricks solutions across data engineering, lakehouse, analytics, ML, and GenAI workloads.
• Advise clients on Databricks capabilities (Unity Catalog, Lakehouse, Mosaic AI, MLflow, Vector Search).
• Develop TCO/ROI narratives for modernization and platform adoption.
• Drive partner-led growth with Databricks field and Slalom market teams.
• Create reusable offerings, demos, and accelerators for scale.
• Provide technical oversight from pursuit to delivery, ensuring secure, well-scoped solutions.
