Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Principal who will lead Databricks solution strategy, shaping high‑impact data and AI engagements with executive stakeholders. You will design scalable lakehouse architectures, advise on Databricks capabilities, and drive joint growth with partner teams.

You will translate technical concepts into business value, guide delivery excellence, and contribute to repeatable offerings and accelerators across priority industries and regions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics, AI, or cloud engineering; 5+ years building modern cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with Lakehouse architecture, data governance, analytics, and production patterns.
• 3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes with sales partners.
• Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, ML/LLMOps, model evaluation, serving, and governed AI patterns.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services including storage, identity, security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks solution strategy with sales and Databricks teams; shape pursuits and create compelling proposals and SBOMs.
• Architect modern data and AI platforms across data engineering, lakehouse, and analytics.
• Advise clients on Databricks capabilities like Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
• Develop TCO/ROI narratives for modernization and platform adoption.
• Drive partner-led growth with Databricks field and Slalom market teams.
• Create repeatable solutions: demos, reference architectures, accelerators, and sales plays.
• Provide technical oversight during pursuit-to-delivery transitions.
