Job summary

Slalom seeks a Senior Principal Databricks Solution Lead to bridge executive conversations and hands-on architecture. You will shape high-impact pursuits, design scalable Databricks platforms, and guide delivery through trusted technical leadership.

You will partner with sales and delivery teams to craft value-based solutions, articulate ROI, and deliver repeatable offerings across data engineering, analytics, and GenAI workloads. The role emphasizes leadership, governance, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics or cloud engineering; 5+ years designing modern data platforms in cloud environments.
• Hands-on Databricks experience; strong knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, governance, analytics and production patterns.
• 3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes with sales/consulting partners.
• Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, ML/LLMOps, model evaluation, model serving and governed AI patterns; exposure to Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, MLflow or Vector Search is a plus.
• Cloud platform knowledge across AWS, Azure or GCP data services including storage, IAM, databases and compute.
• Ability to translate complex topics into business value for executives and delivery teams.
• Background in data modeling, data pipelines, DevOps, CI/CD, migration and production platform operations.
• Track record of growing client relationships and collaborating with partner field teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks Solution Strategy with sales, industry and Databricks teams to shape pursuits and create proposals, demos and statements of work.
• Architect scalable Databricks solutions across data engineering, lakehouse, data warehousing, analytics, ML, GenAI and agentic AI workloads.
• Provide Databricks platform expertise including Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg interoperability, Databricks SQL and related tools.
• Develop TCO, ROI, modernization and migration narratives tying business value to technical decisions.
• Drive partner-led growth by coordinating with Databricks field teams and Slalom market teams across industries and regions.
• Create repeatable offerings, demos, reference architectures and accelerators for scale.
• Offer technical oversight during pursuit-to-delivery, ensuring secure, well-scoped client outcomes.
