Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Principal Databricks leader to help shape data and AI strategy across Databricks-based platforms. You will architect scalable data and AI solutions, guide technical directions, and partner with sales and delivery teams to craft compelling client solutions.

You will bring 8+ years of consulting or data architecture experience, hands-on Databricks expertise, and strong executive communication.

Qualifications

8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics, AI or cloud engineering with 5+ years in modern data platforms.
Hands-on Databricks experience including Lakehouse, governance, analytics, and production patterns.
3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes with sales/consulting partners.
Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, MLOps, model evaluation, and governance patterns.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services and security controls.
Ability to translate complex tech topics into business value for executives and delivery teams.
Background in data modeling, data pipelines, DevOps, CI/CD, migration, and production ops.
Proven track record growing client relationships with partner teams.

Responsibilities

Lead Databricks solution strategy with sales and Databricks teams to shape pursuits and craft proposals.
Architect scalable Databricks solutions across data engineering, analytics, ML, and GenAI workloads.
Advise clients on Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, and Databricks capabilities.
Develop TCO, ROI, modernization, migration, and platform adoption narratives.
Drive partner-led growth with field teams to identify and expand opportunities.
Create repeatable offerings, demos, reference architectures, accelerators, and sales plays.
Provide technical oversight during pursuit-to-delivery transitions.
