Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Principal Databricks Partner Solution Lead to sit at the intersection of Slalom’s Databricks business unit and regional teams. You will shape pursuits, design scalable Databricks solutions across data engineering, lakehouse, analytics, and AI workloads, and guide executive conversations.

You’ll bring 8+ years in consulting and data architecture, deep Databricks expertise, and strong presales leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics, AI, or cloud engineering.
• 5+ years designing and delivering modern data platforms in cloud environments.
• 3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes.
• Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, ML/LLMOps, model evaluation, model serving.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services, including storage, networking, IAM, databases, compute, and security controls.
• Commercial and executive presence to translate complex topics into business value.
• Background in data modeling, data pipeline development, DevOps, CI/CD, migration, and production platform operations.
• Track record of growing client relationships and collaborating with partner teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks solution strategy with sales, industry, and Databricks teams to shape pursuits and create compelling proposals, presentations, demos, and statements of work.
• Architect modern data and AI platforms across data engineering, lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, analytics, ML, GenAI, and agentic AI workloads.
• Advise clients on modern Databricks capabilities including Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg interoperability, Databricks SQL, AI/BI, Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Vector Search, MLflow, and Lakebase.
• Develop TCO, ROI, modernization, migration, and platform adoption narratives for business value.
• Drive partner-led growth by working with Databricks field teams and Slalom market teams to identify and shape opportunities across industries and regions.
• Create repeatable offerings, demos, reference architectures, accelerators, and sales plays to scale the partnership.
• Provide technical oversight during pursuit-to-delivery transitions to ensure secure, well-scoped solutions aligned to client outcomes.
