Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database platform solutions in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. You will drive SQL Server and Oracle deployments across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, and manage backups, high availability, DR, and audits with a focus on security and cost.

Lead collaboration with IT leadership and cloud/on‑premise teams, ensuring timely delivery of database services and licensing across Dow’s global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent, or 8+ years experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement modern database solutions with backup/recovery, HA and DR.
• Lead database platform solutions for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate across IT and enterprise teams to build database roadmaps.
• Ensure changes, incidents and problems are managed per SLAs.
• Automate database activities while maintaining security and performance.
