Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Database Service Manager to architect and lead database solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will partner with IT leaders to develop roadmaps, manage backups and DR strategies, and ensure high availability while controlling costs.

The role requires 5+ years in a related field, a Bachelor’s degree or military equivalency, and US work authorization. Relocation is not provided and a strong focus on security and performance is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or military experience acceptable for the role.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a closely related field.
U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Architect, design and lead database platform solutions for on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
Collaborate with Database IT Leader and Enterprise Architecture teams on roadmap.
Implement backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery for databases.
Coordinate with Database Managed Services to deliver day-to-day tasks and ensure SLA adherence.
Maintain database inventory and assist with licensing and audits.
Assist IT Leadership in evaluating new solutions and vendor proposals.
Leverage AI tools to automate database activities while ensuring security and performance.
