Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Solutions Engineer (SE) to help prospects understand the value of dbt Cloud. You’ll lead technical discussions, uncover data challenges, and demonstrate solutions through live demos and workshops in a hybrid Austin setting.

You’ll collaborate with Account Executives, own demonstrations, and refine processes while acting as the voice of the customer to shape product direction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a data practitioner or consultant in data operations or analytics.
• Strong foundation in data warehousing architectures, the modern data stack, and SQL proficiency.
• Experience with dbt preferred; dbt certification is a bonus.
• Experience working asynchronously as part of a partially remote, distributed team.
• Comfort presenting to diverse stakeholders in externally facing roles.
• Able to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and think on feet.
• Team player with collaboration across Account Executives in deal teams.
• Willingness to travel to events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time on pre-sales opportunities to understand customer use cases and identify the value dbt Cloud can bring to their organization
• Consult with potential customers to uncover data challenges and highlight how dbt Cloud can alleviate pain points and support goals
• Own the demonstration of technical and business impact by delivering tailored demos of dbt Cloud
• Collaborate with Account Executives and build trust-based relationships throughout the deal process
• Maintain ongoing relationships with technical stakeholders within accounts
• Partner with internal teams to represent the voice of the customer in product discussions
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and refine processes
• Create and deliver external-facing content through live events, blog posts, tutorials, or other resources
