Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain the organization’s data protection infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments including GCP, AWS, and Azure. You will work with senior engineers to configure DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions while developing automation scripts.

The role requires expertise in Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows and Linux, plus programming in Python or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience creating and managing DLP policies
• 3 years of experience with at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell)
• 3 years of experience with designing and providing architectural support to two cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions in on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies across platforms, tuning detection, and managing exception lists.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in meetings for updates.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software.
