Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join its Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments, focusing on DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.

The role requires hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, Windows, Linux, GKE, and scripting in PowerShell or Python, along with cloud design for GCP, AWS, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of information security and systems analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software.
• 5 years of creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3 years with at least two programming languages (Python/Java/JavaScript/Bash/PowerShell).
• 3 years designing architecture for Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of DLP/DSPM solutions for on-prem and cloud.
• Configure and maintain data protection policies and sensitive information detection.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for deployment and maintenance.
• Stay current with data protection technologies and industry standards.
• Support project work and documentation needs.
