Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain DLP and DSPM solutions, and work across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires expertise in Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, Varonis, and scripting to automate deployments and investigations. You will troubleshoot incidents, contribute to policy design, and collaborate with senior engineers to advance data protection standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• 5 years in Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure.
• 5 years creating and managing DLP policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, including DLP and DSPM.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of protection solutions across on-prem and cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Configure policies, tune detection, manage exception lists and related settings.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate as needed.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in meetings.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) following coding standards.
• Collaborate to expand knowledge of data protection technologies.
• Stay current with data protection tech, guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
