Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. You will implement and maintain data protection infrastructure, including DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification across on-prem and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to design solutions for GCP, AWS, and Azure, configure policies, and develop automation scripts in PowerShell and Python. The role emphasizes staying current with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in data protection engineering and DLP/DSPM tooling across on-prem and cloud.
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize data protection policies and controls.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with HITRUST/NIST/PCI/HIPAA frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors; deploy DLP/DSPM and de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions for on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies, tune detection, manage exceptions.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate as needed.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve deployment and maintenance of data protection software.
